Dah's note: I'm sure everyone remembers what a WTH moment it was when Mel got Cyrus freed from jail within five minutes on August 10th, 2009, lol. I can't find a really good recap on this that explains how the heck it all worked but I got it in my head that it had to do with the Chicago syndicate. If I'm wrong, I accept all blame. I just wanted to write Cyrus fic. Also, I have yet to watch the last month of Guiding Light episodes-- I'm working on it, but I DO know what happens for the most part, as far as the plot points relevant to this fic... so I don't THINK there's any mistakes in here, but if there is, my bad, sorry.

A Reason To Love Again

Reva stood silently, a gentle breeze slowly lifted her hair as the trees full, lush branches swayed to its rhythm, but for her, the trees may as well have been bare. She no longer felt the seasons. It had been four months since the phone call…it, as well as the days surrounding the call, kept replaying in her mind…over and over at an almost deafening level so much so that she wanted to fall to her knees, cover her ears and scream until it finally stopped…but it never stopped…

Hello All

My name is Lucien Black and four years ago my wife introduced me to the GL family. I was hooked, with a little help from MarvelComics and the Harley story. I was disappointed when the show ended and my wife was heartbroken that she could not share the show with our new baby girl.

I am a writer and came up with the idea to start a blog to carry on my view of the GL characters. I have posted the first chapter of my first GL story, Edmund's Revenge. Please visit the page, read along and I am open to feedback. So please share with your friends and family.

After The Storm...

After the storm was written and posted for OKZFC, ORNFC, on June 5th 2007...it was later added to Cross Creek: The Lewis Family Section on the Sentinel Scribes Board... I'm glad to share it with you here at GLC. This story focuses on Josh and Reva and also Cassie and Billy as well.

After The Storm...

Josh snapped his cell phone shut, and stared at the closed screen door. The cool spring air swirled around him suddenly and a flash of dry lightening threatened the night. He wished that Reva had picked up instead of her voice mail; he was never comfortable leaving messages. He saw the outline of Cassie almost melting against the door. He knew she would probably sink into the darkness that constantly seemed to consume her. Now was not the time to deal with her and her demons, not when he had so many of his own. So he turned and walked away; off...

Josh felt the blow, in one single, seamless move- fist met face and the dance began. He didn't even see it coming. I have a collection of Fan Fictions I have done for OKZFC, ORNFC, Brad's Circle of Friends and the Sentinel Scribes Boards... I thought since GL is gone I would share some of them with you all. I do understand that we all have our character likes and dislikes and I mean no offense to anyone with the stories. I'm not trying to cater to any one base I just write the characters I feel most comfortable writing for however you will find many SF favorites included as well. All I ask is that no part of my work is used without my knowledge.

I hope you enjoy the stories...when they contain chapters I will link them together.

This is how I wished it would have happened.....

Reva tossed and turned in the bed, the sheets tangled around her body, her hair damp with sweat, causing it to cling to her face. The moonlight poured in as Josh turned to her, taking her in his arms, and calling her name. He shook her gently and her eyes fluttered open. Reva sat up, her breathing short and she looked to him. Josh sat up beside her in bed, his face a shadow of concern.
"Reva, are you ok?" His voice was laced with worry. Revas eyes were large and her body shook as she stared at him.
"I had the craziest dream. It was so real, so vivid." Reva gasped struggling to catch her breath. Josh pulled her to him, laying her head on his warm, hard chest.
"Tell me about the dream. It might help if you talk about it." Josh urged her.
"So many things happened. I was told I had breast cancer, but I didnt tell you, I just left, I left to get treatment and didnt tell you,...

Josh's hands held Reva to him as his kisses grew more passionate. She was everything any man could ever ask for he thought as he felt her arms around his neck. Reva pulled away, the moon was still hidden in the clouds, and she could still barely see his face. " Are you sure this is what you want Bud?" Her voice was breathy as her heart fluttered. It was so cool outside yet her skin seemed on fire.
"Reva, I am painfully sure this is what I want." Josh moaned. Reva's laughter broke through the night and brought a smile to his lips.

Josh sat alone in his office, the lights were dim, the room quiet. He stared down at his work and threw the pen down. It was no use, he couldn't think of anything but her. He slowly reached out and took hold of the family picture he kept on his desk, there he was smiling, holding Cassie with Will and RJ. But he was not smiling now. His relationship with Cassie was fine, great even. He loved her and she loved him. She had never once given him a reason not to love her, and yet, he knew in the back of his mind, there was always a reason, one Cassie might not have given him, but it was a reason no less, a very strong reason. One word escaped his lips and caused his head to hang...."Reva." His eyes closed and he was lost in a vision of her, images that were burned into his mind, into his soul. He thought about those images, ones that could make a grown man blush and he stopped. He opened his eyes, he couldn't go there. He couldn't let Reva take him there, she wasn't even here....
