That's a great picture, Phillip! The guy on the right is pretty cute..I had no idea. Did you get to go to Fan Fair? I'm glad you're getting away.
Hopefully something good will happen for you next week on the job front!

Phillip,
I'm sorry to hear about your job situation. There are a lot of companies that do let people go right before the 90 days are up. Hopefully you will be able to find something soon that is more what you are used to doing. How was the trip to the Smokies? We are thinking of going later this summer. Did you rent a cabin? Where all did you go?

No we didn't get a cabin, we stayed at the Edgewater hotel in Gatlinburg. It rained Saturday afternoon, so we couldn't do much that day.
But on Sunday,we spent the majority of our time inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I took about 200 pictures. Also we rode the Sky lift there in Gatlinburg.

how much weight have you lost?- Maybe 5 or 10 pounds. Did you get to go to Fan Fair?- No not this year, we went in 2007. The picture of me with Little Big Town was taken this past Thursday at the Nashville Airport at baggage claim. "What was I doing at the Airport"you ask? - Well, the answer is that awhile back it was in the newspaper that The Loveless cafe was going to put in a store at the airport. So I was going there to buy some buttermilk biscuit flour but I found out that Loveless backed out of the deal. Anyway as I was walking back to my car I saw Little Big Town and I recognized them right away. I had my camera with me because I'm submitting pictures of Nashville to the local newspaper for a coffee table book and I want a picture or 2 to be published in it. - Here is the link for it. http://www.capturemusiccity.com/people/phillipriggins "I am very sorry to hear that you are in such dire straits."- Well, technically we aren't in dire straits, my wife is working, I'll draw unemployment checks and we have some money in savings. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!!! We really appreciate it!!!!

Those are some great pictures. I have never been to the Parthenon. One of these days I need to check that out.
When did they put a Tootsie's in the airport?

" When did they put a Tootsie's in the airport? " -- Maybe 2 or 3 months ago, no more than 3 months.
They were going to put in a Loveless cafe at the same time as Tootsie's but they pulled out.

Phillip...any word yet? Did you interview at that place Kristin recommended??
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Philip, sorry to hear about your unemployment, temporary I am sure.
I absolutely adore your pictures. You do great work. Have you ever thought about publishing them? What a history of America you have, and I am sure others would love to share in that with you. Besides that, the photography is excellent. |

Thanks for the photography compliments, I really appreciate that!!!!
The job hunt is slow going because the economy is so bad right now. Yesterday after G.L. they have the CBS news break and it said US employers lost 62,000 jobs in June. It was the sixth month in a row that the US lost jobs. - I tell you what, I believe that the US Needs to stop outsourcing jobs over seas and keep Americans working here at home.

Amen, Phillip! I also think that they should crack down harder on those who hire illegals so that Americans can have those jobs. Outsourcing seems to be the
biggest problem we face though.
