REVA'S PREGNANT AND KEEPING THE BABY!:
Jeffrey and Reva struggle with their new reality this week - and it's a doozy.
When the newlyweds go to Cedars for Reva's test results, Dr. Hendrix pulls Jeffrey aside with some surprising news: Reva doesn't have cancer, she's pregnant.
"He takes it totally in stride - not!" laughs Bradley Cole. "He just totally, completely...well, he can't believe what's coming out of the doctor's mouth. It's not computing."
Reva, meanwhile, is under the impression that she's going to die. "Jeffrey's trying to calm her down before he breaks the news to her," explains Kim Zimmer. "She even says to him, 'It's okay. I can handle it. So how long do I have?' And he goes, 'About nine months.'"
Stunned, Reva asks the doctor for an explanation. "Supposedly one of the cancer treatment medications that she was on, tamoxifen, they also use for a fertility drug," explains the actress. But didn't Reva already go through menopause? "She's still in menopause," Zimmer clarifies. "When you're on the other side of menopause, it's impossible."
And as it turns out, Reva's already three months along. "At first, they're not even sure if they want to keep the baby," notes Cole. After visiting the hospital nursery, however, they both decide to keep the baby. "I think with everything that's gone down with them, it's really something wonderful and powerful," declares Zimmer. "Neither one of them has really been able to raise a baby from birth to teenage years straight through." With their decision made, the proud parents-to-be share the news with friends and family - including a surprisingly supportive Cassie. But Reva's health is still at risk. "They have to face the medical issues and they'll have to change their lives radically, but it's worth it."
For Zimmer, who'll be sporting an on-screen baby bump for the first time in 18 years, the storyline was a stunner, but she welcomes it. "Totally!" the actress enthuses. "Then I was thinking, 'I'm finally on a workout kick and now I'm going to be pregnant on-screen?'" she laughs. "I think it opens up wonderful possibilities. As long as we're not sitting around just waiting for the baby to be born. There will hopefully be dramatic moments with the cancer issue because she has to go off her meds. I think that with a mature couple, it'll be charming and wonderful. It will be a nice journey for the fans and for us!"
As for those diehard Jeva fans, Zimmer adds, "This will solidify the fact that that ain't going to happen anytime soon. Jeffrey and Reva are having a baby!"
Q&A:
SOD - Did Reva have any inkling that she might be pregnant?
Kim Zimmer - "It's the last thing on her mind. When she gets sick, she thinks it's just from nerves!"
RECAP OF THE REST OF THIS WEEK:
Jeffrey and Reva pay Dr. Hendrix a visit. As a sickened Reva runs to the bathroom, Jeffrey finds out that Reva doesn't have cancer - she's pregnant. Stunned, Jeffrey finds Reva pouring herself a drink at Company. He grabs it from her and drinks it himself, and then he takes her to the lake, where he tells her she's pregnant! A disbelieving Reva returns to the hospital. The doctor explains that one of her cancer medications has also been used as a fertility drug. He warns Reva about the risks due to her age and cancer history, adding that she's already three months along and important decisions must be made quickly.

SPW (9/16/08):
AND BABY MAKES THREE!:
She may be relieved that she's cancer-free, but Reva's head spins as the reality of her pregnancy sets in this week.
"Reva wants so much to raise a child with Jeffrey, but she's scared," sighs Zimmer.
Mamma Reva's not the only one freaking out. Jeffrey is worried about Reva's health, so he goes to Lillian to ask about the risks. Lillian admits her concerns, and Reva shares her own apprehension.
"She's more concerned that her cancer could come back when she stops taking her meds than she is about her age," explains Zimmer. "It's not like it's her first kid."
Faced with a huge decision of whether they will keep the baby, Reva and Jeffrey opt to keep quiet about their news until they weigh the pros and cons.
While Reva thinks it over, she rummages through Marah and Shayne's baby things. When she runs into an old photo of Josh and the kids, she's overcome.
"She feels like she missed a lot of their early years and doesn't want that to happen again," says Zimmer.
After reminiscing, Revs shares her secret with Billy and Cassie, hoping to get their much needed support. "Cassie is happy for Reva until she asks her help, and then she totally disses Reva," admits Zimmer. "I don't blame her, after everything they've been through."
Billy's reaction differs. Concerned about Reva's health, he urges her to consider her life over the baby's.
"Only Billy could make a request like this," says Zimmer. "He suffered through Reva's cancer with her and doesn't want to see it happen again."
To ease the tension of their blessing turned dilemma, Jeffrey surprises Reva with a romantic picnic, but it doesn't stop the wheels turning in her head.
"She does consider not having the baby," reveals Zimmer, "but only when she misunderstands and thinks Jeffrey doesn't want it. Babies only enhance a relationship. They make it complete. A baby is a gift to both Reva and Jeffrey at this stage in their lives."
Week of Sept 15 - Reva hears worrisome information about Shayne.
