Tomorrow I was honored to be invited to an awards presentation for one of my former university professors. She is winning the silver medal for a regional award from the American Advertising Association. She won the Gold medal from the National Association from a submission that I personally made earlier in the year. I think she was surprised when a student that had been so many years distant thought to nominate her, but I was determined! It was a lot of work to put it all together, but it was so worth it! I collected letters of recommendation from colleagues and former students and also wrote one myself, filled out all the paper work and bound it in a book which I then Fed Exed to the folks in Washington. I was so happy when she won! I have not seen her in 20 years! It will be a big shocker for her when she sees me! A few gray hairs and a few wrinkles! LOL. Maybe her eye sight is not as good as the old days and she won't notice, LOL!
