If it turns out that GL is not picked up by another network and once the actors get on with their lives and find other things to do anyway, could a continuing story line for GL be done in a series of books, would that be enough to keep fans happy?

Well, it wouldn't be enough for me. A lot of the enjoyment for me, is watching the actors deal with the stories, the locations, the clothes and all the
little things that make a show fun to watch. It would be hard to even have a discussion board, as we would all be picturing things differently from a book.
I suppose it would be fun to have an update on the characters, but it would only be the ideas of whomever wrote the book. I think this show is done for. I
hope we can keep tabs on the actors and where they go after this.

I was a long time viewer of Another World on NBC and was quiet upset when they cancelled it -- I was irritated that I did not fit their demographic since I was
in my 30's at the time--even though I had been watching for over 15 years ( and would have fit the demographic then ) Anyway---Soapnet re-aired AW on their
channel--even if it was at an odd hour, it was fun to relieve the storylines and the characters. Maybe this could happen for GL--if it could be shown in
reruns?? It could certainly fill a void, even if it were not new--it could especially be fun for newer viewers who missed a lot of the old storylines and fun
for long time viewers who may have forgotten some or just want to be nostalgic.

I'd love for it to be shown in reruns. It's been on the air for so long that I know that I've forgotten a lot of the things that happened. I
enjoyed watching Dark Shadows when it was shown on the Sci-Fi station.

I'm shocked that another CBS soap hasnt tried bringing some of the actors/characters over.

I would definately watch reruns just like Ms Debbie, I have forgotten most of the story lines of years ago, it would be all new to me again! I would LOVE it!!
Also, I agree, you would think that some of the other CBS soaps would be grabbing up some of the great GL Cast.

They have grabbed up CC and Gina T. But as Kim Z. said, at her age, she may never work again. That may be for a lot of our loved ones on GL.

We still don't know what show Gina T is going to. At least with CC she will be playing a character (Carly) she has played before. Even her husband has been
nabbed to play lawrence again.
I wonder if we have been had about Gina T. I've never noted such secrecy. I am sure Kim Z will do stage work or episodic work. I hear Robert Newman has been and currently is doing stage work. Michael O'Leary says in SOD he knew this day was coming. He has studied to be a realtor and has been doing it for a few years now. I do not think characters from one show can carry over long term to another soap. However, the other soaps can create new characters for these wonderful actors to play. I wish the actors and crew the best always. Thank you |

Truly sad... I haven't been a big Reva fan for years now, but I always knew she would be there and what to expect from her.

I started watching As the World Turns when the cancelled Another World, because they brought over some of the actors playing the same characters from AW, so it
made it like they were still around, even though they werent on too long, with the exception of Molly and Cass. Anyway, in addition to the reruns on Soapnet
and the transfer of characters and actors it made the loss of my fav soap a bit easier ( I also vehemently refused to watch Passions!!! I was soo ticked at
NBC)

There are so many of these actors with big talent, but it seems that acting is a dwindling profession now with reality TV. I guess Michael O'Leary was
smart to plan for a backup profession, but I have really always thought he should team up in a movie with Tom Hanks! They look like they could be brothers!

I have never understood why Michael O'Leary has not been tapped for a sit com. He has the look and personality to be perfect in one. Marcy Rylan also
seems like sit-com material. Grant Aleksander should have become a huge star and leading man. Never could understand how Kevin Bacon came out of GL, but
Grant didn't make it.
