I have a regular DVD-recorder. I never had set to tape at the same time every day. So, there is nothing to delete. I am not going to watch any game show, except Jeopardy, anyway, and I never tape Jeopardy either (unless when one of my friends is a contestant - which had happened over the years a few times).

Yes, I deleted my VCR programming for GL, too, with a nice glass of Merlot in my hand. Sad, sad thing to do.

I'm still using VCRs so I'd set GL to record daily... it'll be weird not to have to do it Monday. =(

Done! I also deleted anything CBS. Maybe the Neilsen Board will register a negative for all of us who turned off the CBS light?

I deleted CBS 2-3 and added ABC 12-1 to catch AMC. I had started watching AMC after BE went there and I got disgusted with GL, but when I found out GL was being canceled I started recording GL again. Now that it is over, I am going back to AMC. I only have time to watch one soap.

I will still be watching CBS though since some of my favorite shows are on there like "Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men".

I deleted the GL time slot from my vcr. Nothing to change on the dvr. It's going to feel weird, this afternoon, not to be watching thw show at 3:00PM.

Shame shame shame on CBS. It was so sad to look at my DVR schedule for the week last night and only see ATWT. I guess I shouldn't complain about having an extra five hours a week.

I'll still watch CSI Miami and New York, but that's it for me.

Sad day. How many people did what I did ... "Oh, it's 2:00, time for Guiding Li.... sigh". Just, for a moment I forgot.
I didn't turn my tv on at all after that, just went about cleaning the house until 3 when Ellen came on.

I received permission from P&G on Friday at 4:30 pm to continue a gl fan club. the site will be glforever.com and I hope to have it up by friday. I have contacted several of the cast and let them know and asked them to participate with the site. There will be no membership dues and no official GL merchandise sold. There will be links to actor driven items such as cd's and concert schedules. I am considering an ebay type site for members that wish to trade or sell merchandise they own. Of course I am not willing to part with anything I own, but some people may be. The site will be an information exchange with articles, videos and interviews as well as appearances both singularly and group like So Long Springfield.
I will also continue www.keepourlighton.com until atleast 4-2-10 which is when it is scheduled to expire. We will decide on continuing or ending keepourlighton in March 2010.

Please send me imput that you would like to see on the club site.

I deleted my GL schedule off the dvr........was so sad.

I had a thought today at work, " I wonder what is going on today on GL?" Then remembered it would be no more.

I too have DVR so there was nothing but the series recording to delete. My husband deleted Guiding Light from its priority Number 1 recording slot so that he could make sure that Amazing Race is recorded. In my viewing market, Dr. Oz will be shown at 2PM and that idiotic game show is being shown at 9AM. I feel a little guilty, but I will probably watch Dr. Oz sometimes if I am at home as I absolutely love him and he gives some really good health advice.

I haven't been able to figure out our new recorder so I never was able to get any on tape, maybe they will come out with boxed sets, would like to buy if true.
