So what do you guys think about Dave and this extortion plot. I could care less about the plot angle. To me, his cheating on his girlfriend with several
other women, is much worse. I wonder how is now wife, will feel about all this. They are making it sound like, poor Dave, someone after his money. True,
this is a crime, but it is apparently based in truth. I haven't liked him for years and now he has just gone down several knotches in my book. No respect
for him here.

They keep stressing that this took place before his marriage and birth of his son. Well, that may be, but he is reported to have been with his now wife for 23
years! I well remember that he lived with a woman who was a writer on his staff. Don't recall when that was, but it is not the same woman he is now
married to. He has gotten many praises through the years, but I for one never bought it. Give me Jay Leno any day, who seems to take his marriage seriously
and is devoted to his wife. Dave on the other hand, appears to be another slime ball who took advantage of those that worked for him and the woman who must
have trusted him.

Well, I don't see that he is any different from any of the other men who has cheated...which please don't get me wrong, I think its beyond
horrible...but I will keep watching his opening like I do every night. It's not any worse to me than knowing the man in charge of our country was having
sexcapades with cigars in the oval office! Atleast David is just an entertainer!
Personally, I think sex lives should be private, and I get sooo tired of hearing about them when I turn on the tv or stand in the checkout stand at the grocery! Basically, I wish that there were more morals in this country! ![]() Praying daily for our Guy ![]() |

I try to separate a person's onscreen persona from their private life, since that's none of my business. For the most part, that
works for me, but there are some celebrities that I just cannot stand in the least. I feel very sorry for Letterman's wife and child. I have no sympathy
for any of the other women involved. As for the man who tried to extort money, I think he's as much of a pig as any man who cheats on his wife/partner. I
won't lose any sleep over him if/when he goes to jail. As for Letterman, I enjoy his show, but am disgusted with this revelation even though it
doesn't surprise me.

I am disappointed in him, but not surprised. Loretta he was involved with the writer many years ago. I remember when they broke up. Seem like he did have affairs while he was living with his now wife. He always said he avoided being married so long because he had gotten hurt by his first marriage and was scared. LOL I do blame him, but the women he had affairs with were all of age. They should take some responsibility for what they did...and should not be considered victims. They should have known better. That said he's a dog for cheating on his girlfriend.

I have always liked David Letterman and still do. A person's private life is their business. Look at all the politicians who lied about their sexual
escapades. At least Dave didn't try to lie his way out of it. He speaks lovingly of his wife, mother, and his son Harry.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I don't care a flip about these perverts sexploits. I think they are all weird, they think they are above the law and do whatever "feels good" no matter the consequences. |

I occasionally watch Letterman's opening monologue, however, I really have never thought much of him at all. I think many of his "jokes" are
extremely tasteless. I only catch the monologue because I've been watching 11 o'clock news on that channel and my TV is still on. I am not at all
surprised by his behavior - I think it's kind of "just desserts" that he is now the butt of some jokes - although I do feel very sorry for his
wife and son.

I have never thought the man was funny at all and really don't care where he sticks his business. I am never surprised when a celebrity (or anyone else for
that matter) get caught cheating. I am often disappointed in the person, but not surprised.

I've was a faithful viewer of the whole show for many years. I quit watching the opening monalogue several years ago(during the last admin) because he
p*ssed me off so often. Now I pretty much watch the interviews, unless of course, he has someone that I don't like, then I just skip it altogether. LOL
I wish they would quit talking about it because ewww..I don't like thinking of him like that. LOL

I liked Dave when he first started his show. In fact, I even went to see it in person when I was in New York. Once he dissed Jay Leno for getting the Tonight
show and never spoke to him again, I thought he was a twit and pretty much gave up on him. I did catch a show once where Julia Roberts was on and he asked the
same stupid question of her over and over, to get an audience reaction. I figured he had lost his edge then. I am very disappointed with this latest reveal.
Not so much what he did, just that he did it while in a long term relationship, which to me is pretty much like a marriage. His getting applause for this is
apalling. Everyone seems to think it is ok since no women filed any lawsuits. How he could do this and still make jokes about other offenders, is beyond me.

Very disappointing. I hate to see a man take advantage of a power position like this. Even if the women were wiling, he was still their boss. Also, his wife
must feel so terrible.
It is commendable that he did not buckle to the extortionist. But I find it gross that he did those things. |

I've always watched Jay Leno so when he went off the air I stopped watching all late night shows all together. I don't care for Letterman, or Conan in
the least. I'm so glad Jay has his new show now and at ten pm which is much easier for me to catch.
As for the cheating or affairs well I have long since thought some males believe they are entitled to do as they please in life, I prefer to not allow them my precious thoughts except to say they disappoint and disgust me. I try to spend my time paying attention to those men who are upstanding at least in my eyes. Everyone makes mistakes I admit that, but there is a difference between a 'mistake' and 'having your cake and eating it too' in Letterman's and few other case(s) repeatedly. Tania in Pennsylvania

I am surprised that they haven't said anything about the women being coerced or that he held his position over their head to make them have sex with him. I
don't believe that's what happened or they(media) would be all over that. I believe that it was totally consentual and therefore the women were in the
wrong, too. If SB was living with a man and was having an affair, shouldn't she be considered wrong, too? I also believe that it takes two to tango..so
unless they are being threatened someway, what they are doing is wrong..all of them.
I think they only victim is his wife(and his son)..she's the only innocent party in this situation. Sorry, rant over.

Much ado about nothing. He wasn't married, these are grown women making choices on their own, they were not raped and not threatened that they would loose
their jobs if they didn't sleep with him. I can only imagine the amount of hours it takes to make a show like his and the amount of time spent with the
same people week after week, it isn't a surprise that hook ups would happen. I was one of those women that had a work place liaison with a person of higher
power at a job, he wasn't a boss but a manager. I spent so much time at this job that it's the only place I would meet men, when I wasn't involved
with him, I was dating people I met there.
I've always enjoyed his show, and will continue to do so. I think more focus should be put on the loser who actually broke the law. |

I think more focus should be put on the loser who actually broke the law. I agree! He wasn't married Thing is, he was living with his now wife. Shouldn't he have been monogomous? LOL What I'd like to know is how did he think that this wouldn't come out? This kind of thing makes me wonder how much goes on that we DON'T know abiut? Seems like the media doesn't let anyone get away with stuff..unless, of course, they like the person. LOL
