I've given up on Flashforward and V. Both are too hard to follow, sleazy characters, and depressing. Who needs that? I would rather watch a show that is
light hearted. The world can be depressing enough sometimes, without watching shows that are downers.

It is too bad you are not enjoying FF, Loretta.
Just last week, one of the characters did something arguably noble to change his future and therefore avoid causing someone else's death - it was a supreme act of self sacrifice and while very, very sad, it also gave a lot of the characters a whole lot of hope. I say that not to try and change your mind, but to explain (in part) why I really like this show and will stick with it - I hope that the show succeeds. My world vision makes me acknowledge that there is a whole lot of darkness in the life around me, but that there is also tremendous scope for hope and light. "With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world" - that is what I see in this show. Just colour me an incurable optimist. |

Fast Forward and V are my two favorite new shows. FF does seem a little hard to follow b/c it seems some time passes between the end of one show and the
beginning of the next.

I gave Flashforward another shot this week and liked it better. Guess I will try sticking with it. I do find the premise very interesting, I just hate it
when it gets violent or too gansterie.

I thought that this week's FF was positively sweet, with him going to Tokyo and her coming to LA, their paths crossing on parallel tracks like two ships
passing in the night.
Finally! Bryce is a fleshed out character. OK, I get him now. He was too puzzling in all the episodes so far. A very touching story he has got, and I hope it all comes out well for him and also for Keiko. Terry, I am very sorry to hear that the network is not pleased with the ratings this show is getting. Oh well. Not much we can do about that, I suppose. |
