I lost my sweet boy kitty Romeo to GI Cancer yesterday. Since August we were treating him as if he had IBD and changed his food. He was on prednisolone and continued to loose weight and have diarrhea. I took him to a different vet and after a second ultrasound they found a mass, no mass was present in August. He had two masses removed Monday. Tuesday he looked good, yesterday he did not. I brought him home and let him lay in the sun, we received the pathology report in the afternoon that it was large cell lymphoma, treatment would have been really hard on his already weak body and we most likely wouldn't have gotten much more time with him. My husband came home and we took him back in, I held his head in my hands and told him I loved him as he passed. I miss him so much already but know that he is resting now, no pain, no more medicine, just peace.
