I don't believe for a minute they are looking for another venue for this soap. I think they are just saying that so that they won't look so bad to the
CBS viewers. Someone also said in an interview just last week that they had been renewed, so it's all just crap IMO.

I just started watching ATWT when GL ended, now I will be out of a soap again. Maybe it's time to just read a book or two! I am not really surprised,
because we have been reading about it being cancelled for a while now. I don't really fault CBS. They are out to make money, just like any other
business.

another one bites the dust! I still miss GL everyday. and I still wonder what would be going on in Springfield today. I miss the friends who used to come into
my home 5 days a weeks, 52 weeks a year, for many, many years. I still haven't watched CBS, just Y&R a couple of minutes once a week or so. I remember
coming home from kindergarten, my Mom would be ironing, and ATWT was just starting. Tom Hughes and I were both coming home from school at the same time. Then
she watch GL while I did homework or played. That's a long time to be faithful to a TV show!!! Well that does it for CBS altogether. I wish TPIR and RR
would move to another station, I do miss them too. It's almost 2:00, (time for GL), gotta find something to do!

It is just being put out of its misery. I watched this show ATWT for the last 38 years. I am completely disgusted in it now. I can remember a time I never
missed it. I always had a story going that I couldn't miss. I am so sorry to say this but, I can.t even be sorry. They have beaten the stories to death.
They have ruined every character. They have allowed characters to break every law then become saints. Namely Emily etc. I don't really like or care about
any character. The ex thinks he knows everything. Couldn't care less what the fans want, so we have changed the channel. Not to a different soap but HGTV.
Maybe the reason I am not upset is because I don.t reconise the show. I am sorry some of you will be sorry to see it go. Me I hardly watch it any more so its moot to me.I hope Goutman never gets another job.

CBS should have never
messed with our soaps GL & ATWT, they have made long time and life time viewers very unhappy we are not going to go away and not going to watch the tacky
shows CBS puts in place of beloved soaps - we want our Light and World.

CBS daytime was just fine with 4 soaps
and fine when CBS had GL and ATWT on their daytime and if it wasn't broken for decades, don't mess with it - CBS made a big mistake when they took off
our Light and now the World and if CBS doen't think it will not matter when they lose generations of viewers all I can say is what goes around - comes
around and CBS will not have GL/ATWT viewers.

CBS just does not care at all about loyalty unless you're in the magic 18-24 year old group, who apparently knows so much that they run the entertainment
world. I suppose now they will bring back a revamped "Card Sharks" since apparently the 18-24 year olds have been clamoring for the game shows their
Grandmas used to watch. Sigh. If only they'd clamor for our beloved shows. Rest in peace, ATWT.

If the nighttime sitcoms are an indication of what the younger generation wants to see,Then our whole life styles will change. I don't watch any of them
because they are so vulgar. I'm not saying I am a prude or goody two shoes,but I don't think tv is the place for outright smut. I enjoy a little
inuindo now and then,but not a steady diet of it.
I have noticed that there is more swearing on the soaps now also. I probably wont watch any of them after ATWT goes of.I didn't watch Y&R until it had been on a long time and B&B isn't that interesting.I think I can live without them. |

I remember many years ago, my folks would eat their lunchs on TV trays in the living room, so they could watch ATWT. It was something they enjoyed doing
together. I just don't think we can fault CBS. If you have an investment that just doesn't bring in the revenue, don't you get rid ot it? It is
the same with them. They are not putting on the show for us. They are trying to make money off it. Apparently it ceased doing that, so they have cut their
losses. Life goes on, and nothing remains the same, even though we want the good parts to stay.

I like Beatles and chocolate, do not like squid or frog legs - GL is like the fab Four and chocolate
to me and game shows are like squid that taste like a tire and frog legs that made me sick for days, I am on break and could really need my Light - however I
am watching the World till the end, but I am not watching anything on CBS daytime that come on before or any show that comes on after, because I am not
interested.

AGH... P&G is just pi$$ing me off... first GL, then ATWT, and now the Max Factor make up line has been taken out of the US
markets...

This is so so hard to think about losing another show. I don't think that CBS can possible imagine all the time that we (the viewers) have invested in
watching these shows. They are actually throwing years of our lives away because they want more money. 10 hrs a week x 52 weeks x 35 years ends up being
around 2 straight years of my life that I spent watching these shows and now they are gone. That is what makes it so painful too, CBS does not care that I
devoted that time, 2 years that I stopped what I was doing to sit down and watch these shows and now they are gone and so is that 2 years of my life. I hope
this makes sense to someone, it just seems that as long as these people were getting rich they were happy to keep the shows on but lose a few bucks and OMGosh
they start losing it. It is just depressing to me to have to go through this again and I don't think it is fair.

I agree with you all - this is another soap I watched for years and years, right along with GL.......but the past few years I've not had as much time so I
only caught ATWT occasionally - I didn't know it was cancelled and now I am thinking if it isn't going to be around much longer maybe I should try to
catch it on occasion and especially towards the end incase they bring back some of the old actors. I feel so badly for them. CBS execs must be outta their
freakin minds!
