Have been watching since I was in college in 1982. I didn't want to watch that soap. I watched the ABC soaps, but my room mate always watched it. I kinda got sucked in.

I've been watching off and on for probably the last 20 years. Gosh, that makes me feel old.

I listened with my mother to the 15 minute show when it started. I was 7. Then when it went on TV I watched and it has been a long time.
I feel the last three years have been the worst. Not much history and not many good stories. |

I'm 27 and I've been watching since I was 11.
Don't act like there's no tomorrow, you should use that pain and sorrow to fill you up with power, life's both sweet and sour.

I started watching the day that Nola tried to seduce Floyd so she could get pregnant and claim that it belonged to Kelly. Ah Kelly, he was HOT!

I started watching with my mom when I was a kid! Im thinking...considering off and on with school and work - til I got a VCR its been over 40 yrs. Id watch everyday during the summers; then after got VCR watched every night.
My illness has caused the longest absence and I AM SO sad about that. That and my VCR being broken and coouldnt afford to get another for too long. But I finally got one and everything was so different I couldnt stick with it everyday...but Im slowly trying to get back into it. I miss things the way they were, so much more glamorous and exciting....its all so diff and as I said in another thread I cannot imagine Josh with Cassie; or him being a minister? Sounds like they need to let all the writers GO and get a whole new crew. Get it back on track. But isnt it funny - while we the fans feel there are some weird things going on - they've never been HOTTER in the Emmy's.(The show as a whole I mean) I can't get into the teenagers very easily this time. Like Im not liking the Juvy hall storyline at all. Ugh. But it has always been my sentimental favorite, writing warts and all. The actors are what I have always loved on GL. Maybe they need to bring in more ADULT characters to spice things up instead of teens, which is what they always do- to give Alan some new rivals to fight with; a big major business rival, with baaaad connections, like the Santos family; SOMEthing to liven up things a bit more than "juvy hall".... ak. maybe they thought we got tired of the business end of it and they DID concentrate on that tooo much at one time. A happy medium would be nice. since Ive been back watching all Ive seen is Mallet shooting people, Company, arguments with or about Gus' old girlfriend, and Juvy Hall.....oh and Reva gassin' Lizzie. *head spinning* Well and of course the Reva, Josh, Cassie fights and silliness like "go spend the night with Reva Josh then come back to me in the morning".(after I almosthadastroke after finding out you were with her now I want you to go spend yet another night with her...)rrright....oooomagods WHO WROTE that crappola? Lame attempt at reverse psychology. Its only going to make Josh want her more FOR NOW...but his true love for Reva is going to win out in the end no matter what. Sure he'll be a goodboy that one night with Reva because he's mad at her for one, but on best behavior because his GUILT is eating him up - but that will prove NOTHING in the end and important stuff. Josh and Reva forever! Im SO very anxious to see Reva get her man back. I hope they dont drag that out for a year or two. -garnet ![]() |

"I am 35 and have been watching for as long as I can remember."
Actually, I'm the exact same age. My "kid sitter" (baby sitter - but we weren't babies) got my sister and I hooked on it when I was 9. My first memories was right after Nola had her baby and when Lillian and Beth Rains were first introduced to the show. Stopped watching for a while in the early 90's (busy schedule - plus I was sick of tv period) but started up again a few years later and haven't really turned it off since. Julie |

I started watching in 1959 when the Bauers were the core family. I remember Mike and his young daughter Hope and Poppa Bauer and Ed and Leslie. Those were
great days on the show.

I started watching in '81-'82. I used to sneak to watch it because I was like 13 and my Mom didn't want me to watch Soap Operas. Now my 13 year old
watches it with me.
My Mom told me that she used to listen to it on the radio. I always thought that was the coolest thing! .·:*¨¨*:·.Sharon.·:*¨¨*:·. |

I started watching around the time that Eleni married Alan-Micheal...that makes him WAY too old for Marina. Frank should have kicked his arse.

I can't believe I missed this.
I started listening on the radio in '62,Didn't have a tv til 'about '65....So I suppose thats when I started "Watching"it. I didn't watch it steady though,we transferred a lot and when we did I would lose it due to time zones and stuff. Then when I worked bvcr.Imissed a lot of it.But not so much that I couldn't catch up in a few days, because they had the core families. Now if I missed a few months,I would think I am watching a whole new show. I've watched it steady though since the early '80's. |
