There is just so much history and talent on this show. I bet the TPTB and CBS are shocked at the #'s flying in with support of GL. Maybe thats what they wanted to see. And see if they might write some notes to CBS and other networks. I know they flimed there, I was there the whole week and stayed in the hotel. I am a passholder but 4 of my friends or not and they all went with me. We spent alot of money there at Universal that week. Also there was a few people there that did stand ins. So I am sure that the park made some money that week and the rates might pick-up this week, just so people can see themself on tv. So if might be a shot to write to Universal to see if they would help and KEEP GUIDING LIGHT ON FOR 72+ MORE YEARS!!!

Wednesday, May 06 2009 (CBS) If you are a Guiding Light fan in, or near, New York City later this month, you may want to lend your support to the Save the Light campaign. Organizers have set up a "Save the Light Rally" to be held on May 22. To participate, you should arrive at The Early Show plaza located at 59th Street and 5th Avenue by 7:30 AM that day. Bring your banners, your buttons and your smiling faces to help show your appreciation for the show and your hopes for its future. Since many will not be able to make the trek to the city for the event, organizers are encouraging fans to hold their own rallies at their local CBS affiliate station.
