Franks interview on NyChannel 2 Sunday August 16 |
Lead | |
|
Frank was interviewed today and said some of the story lines were wrapped up, some were left open, one was advanced one year, he was in the last scene, the
last scene was in Company. He also spoke about the sets being torn down, he was given his badge and the company sign outside the door. They have torn down the
cafe, but police headquarters is still up. He said everyone is taking time off to be with their families and to regroup.

Thanks for posting that, Terry. Based on the information you provided, I looked around and found the entire interview at this URL:
Interview with Frank Dicopoulos on WCBS New York, Aug 16, 2009 It made me cry because he was trying very hard to cheer us all up while also speaking the truth.

Malar, you are the best for putting up the link, it was great to see it again, I was watching the baby the first time trying to remember afterward what was
said! If we could have kept him talking, maybe we would have found out more!!!!!

I was wondering if they would do something like progress a story line or two up a year. Especially Natalia's pregnancy. Hopefully we'll see Dinah come
back home as well as Lizzie and Bill having a baby with Sarah standing around.
Yeah, let's replace a treasured show with ANOTHER stupid game show! I HATE game shows so I promise you I won't be watching this. As a matter of fact, the only thing I watch on CBS now is GL and the Big Bang Theory. I don't understand why any other network Including cable/sattlelite(sp) wouldn't want to pick up this show (minus Ellen Wheeler, of course). I mean, come on! 75 years of being on! Wouldn't you be some kind of "t.v hero" if you picked it up for the network you worked for? Hopefully CBS will let go of the rights to it now that it's done filming. |

You would think that 1.8 million viewers would mean something to someone....

Great. I hope he gets to see his child and Lizzie gets to introduce Sarah to her new brother. This actually makes you want to watch the end.. Not be happy
about the end just hoping the show doesn't leave you with a bad memory. The actor seems very like the old character.
The so called game show they are replacing it with ,is the absolute pitts. They dress up like fools, win a nice prise then get greedy go for whats behind the door, boom they end up with a real cow, etc. Something about worthless. . I hate this game show without them doing it the way they have.

Agreed, the last line of that interview made me GAG where they say it is replaced with let's make a deal. I sincerely hope no one watches that show.

I will not, even if someone paid me to watch it. I can assure you of that. It is horrible to contemplate!

final Interview | ||

This was so poignant. I've been watching GL for 52 years and I am so going to miss it. And yes the final comment about what is replacing our beloved
Guiding Light made me gag too. I WILL NOT WATCH THAT! When the Light Goes Out, my tv will go off at 3 p.m.
