Loretta, you don't have to have a twitter acc. to read the tweets or even a phone. I wasn't too interested myself until I saw the 11 GL actors on there and now I have sent them my own messages. Frank is trying to sell the idea to the bigwigs of having a show called Company and everyone comes and goes from there with their own storylines, Tina is talking about her new show in Atlanta and now her new book has been picked up, Crystal has been talking about her new Venice show and the GL actors who have joined her, Elizabeth has been talking about being in Secret Garden, Beth talks about kettlebells exercise program, Michael has talked about his interviews, Jessica has just gotten on and is saying hello to everyone, Paul and Bradley have talked about their new projects. Most of them expressed their sadness at the time GL was filming the last shots and then when they watched it on TV. It gave us more of a connection with the actors themselves and their feelings of what scenes were being filmed that day, how they felt saying goodbye, selling their clothes, cleaning out desks, Tina, Frank, Crystal and Beth have all thanked the fans on Twitter and I think it has helped them get through this transition and they post personal photos with a link to them showing behind the scenes in Peapack or Tina's name in lights outside the theatre. There is no other way I know of to instantly contact a favorite actor just to say hello or good interview, or keep up the good work in your new project and you can read their tweets to other actors and friends. Then there is the day to day things, Frank watching TV with his kids, Crystal having fun, Beth went to her nieces wedding and lost her car at the airport so her funny tweet started out "Note to self: commit to memory not only row where u are parked, but terminal, flew out of Term A, flew into Term B, you can guess the rest" Other people on there such as Larry King asks for questions and opinions on the guests coming up. A site called Twisst will tell you when the space satellite comes over your house, A G20 site translated your sent message into morse code, I love Santana so I see what they are up to, my daughter is on so we have fun sending each other messages. There are also charity sites who will let you know what they are up to, it's similiar to the computer itself where you can go anywhere and look up anything. Now that we all have an extra hour a day, once the job, kids, mates, pets, dinner, homework, housework are taken care of, perhaps you could try it out, you can give someone you are interested in an instant opinion or encouragement too. and all in the space of 140 characters, it is really fun! I have started a new thread under off topic for twitter fun.
